About us
Built by a parent, for one curious kid first.
The Good Rabbit Hole started at a kitchen table, with a dad who wanted his son’s screen time to feed his curiosity instead of eating it — and who wanted to know, at Sunday dinner, what had actually caught his imagination that week.

Most learning apps measure one thing. A child is more than that.
AI can already answer any question a child asks. That’s exactly the problem: an answer handed over isn’t learning, and an open chatbot isn’t a safe place for an 8-year-old to wander.
So we built the opposite. A companion that starts with what a child is curious about — sharks, volcanoes, how a paper plane flies — lets them follow it, and shapes practice in math, science, reading, English and social studies around it. One that helps them think rather than thinking for them. One with safety you don’t have to switch on. And one that, every Sunday, tells their grown-up what they chased, with three good questions to ask at dinner.
Hi, I’m Chris. I’m the dad at that kitchen table. I built The Good Rabbit Hole because I wanted my son’s screen time to feed his curiosity instead of eating it, and because I wanted something real to talk about at Sunday dinner.
Every family in the pilot is approved by me, and every message sent through the contact page comes to me. If something doesn’t work for your child, or worries you, I want to hear it.

The rules we built it around.
- Curiosity comes first.Kids learn fastest when they care. So they start with what they love, and practice is shaped around it.
- Help them think, don’t think for them. The guide asks, nudges and shows — but it won’t just hand over answers, because a free chatbot already does that.
- Safety isn’t a setting. It’s on for everyone, at the strictest level, and when in doubt it stops. Parents don’t have to configure it; they just get told when it matters.
- No labels, no streaks, no nagging. We never call a child gifted or behind, never compare them to anyone, and never design anything to make them anxious about stopping.
- Parents stay in the loop.Every account is approved by hand, every family can export or delete their data, and the Sunday report turns a week of learning into a conversation.
- Honest about what it is.It’s an AI, it can make mistakes, and it’s a pilot. We say so plainly, including exactly where data goes.

A small, careful pilot.
The Good Rabbit Hole is an independent project, not a big company. It’s open to a small number of families in Canada, free during the pilot, and every account is approved by hand. Practice covers roughly Grades 2 to 8 and is growing; exploration covers anything a child wonders about.
After the pilot it’s one price for the whole family, and families approved during the pilot pay less for as long as they stay subscribed. The pricing page has the numbers.
It’s for families only for now. Schools and teachers: write to us, and we’ll tell you when that changes. We’d love to hear what works for your family and what doesn’t.
